And I think that maybe I forgot. I let work, phones, and worries distract me from the beauty of this world. It’s here, isn’t it? All I have to do is look.
My friend and I went to a botanical garden on Saturday, the first day of the week that was not filled with rain. I bent down to take a picture of a yellow rose. There were raindrops on it, somehow making the flower even more beautiful. I smiled and pressed the shutter button. Yes, it is here.
“Stuff your eyes with wonder […] live as if you’d drop dead in ten seconds. See the world.. It’s more fantstic than any dream made or paid for in factories.” ~ Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451
This month, choose to see the world’s beauty. Soak in the pink sunsets, smell the blooming flowers, and find the diamond raindrops. It truly is more wonderful “than any dream made or paid for in factories.”
