Happy Monday! I hope you are having a beautiful summer and have been able to get outside and spend time with friends and family. Although this time of year is often filled with outside leisure activities and vacations, it can also be a busy season. While we worry about travel plans, jobs, and family gatherings, sometimes we can forget what truly matters in life. This week’s quote reminds us to appreciate the little things.
“Never underestimate the big importance of small things.”
Matt Haig, The Midnight Library
It’s not always the expensive vacations and huge cook-outs that will change our lives for the better. It’s the three words of encouragement you give to your co-worker every morning, and the five minutes you spend talking on the phone to a loved one. Even if something isn’t expensive, time-consuming, or perfectly planned, it still matters. It’s just as important to practice gratitude for the small aspects of our lives as the large ones.
May you have a blessed week filled with laughter and gratitude.
