Someday, I’ll write about you.
I’ll do that magical thing that can turn dead hearts into poetry
And resurrect sweet memories.
I’ll store nostalgia on paper
And let my wounds bleed with the ink of my pen.
I’ll turn what once was into words.
Someday, I’ll look at the transcript that used to be us
And accept it for what it is instead of trying to revise it.
I’ll close my eyes and picture every detail of your being.
I won’t ask questions.
I’ll stop forming answers.
I’ll just write what’s you.
Someday.
When I’m done waiting to heal,
I’ll write.
In life, we meet numerous people, some of whom leave an imprint on our hearts. Some people change us for the better, and others hurt us. In the end, we can choose to heal and grow from those experiences. I hope you enjoyed reading this short poem, and hopefully, you could relate to it.
